iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: Double Trouble!

This year Apple decided to rewrite history when they went back to Flint Centre, Cupertino for the launch of the much awaited iPhone 6. Apple fanboys can confirm the importance of the centre as it is the very same place where Apple, or rather Steve Jobs, launched the very first iconic Mac. But are the new iPhones worthy enough of this honour? Yes, you read right. iPhones. Staying true to all rumours, Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with a complete new look and a host of not-so-new features.

The most impressive thing about both the devices is the design. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both are slimmer, curvier and definitely classy looking. The display is distinctly curved and instead of the depression that formed the home button, both phones now seem to have the TouchID button that feel almost capacitive but for the ring surrounding them. The phones look distinctly iPod-esque but we do admit that the design is a refreshing change. While Apple phones have all looked very similar in the past, the new iPhones usher in an era of improved design.

The TouchID on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus now comes with an improved function. Apple has introduced Apple Pay (we wonder what happened to iPay) which is really an extension of the security provided by your TouchID. You can now make payments at the counter using just your iPhone 6/6 Plus. No cash. You just need to add a credit/debit card from your iTunes account to the Apple Pay and voila! Pay using the app. The app used your TouchID for secure recognition. So unless you fear someone making off with your iPhone 6 Plus and your finger at the same time, your transactions are safe. The app also lets users remotely access and delete card information from the phone in case of theft.
