Will Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan touch 40 ?

As we all know that both these super stars, in fact, mega stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, have crossed forties, specially Shah Rukh Khan, being more senior of the two, and so it is obvious that we are not talking about their age.
So, what exactly are we writing about! Well, forty (crore!) is the figure that all the trade analysts are writing about in terms of the first day all India box-office collections.
Up till now, the record for the single day all India collection rests with Aamir Khan's DHOOM 3, and that is 36 crore. Even KICK and SINGHAM RETURNS could not break the mentioned record.
Therefore, the trade is abuzz that either Shah Rukh Khan with HAPPY NEW YEAR or Hrithik Roshan with BANG BANG can break the record and even cross that and rake in 40 crore on the first day itself!
Coming to BANG BANG, which is set for a Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October) release, it has seen an unprecedented response to its trailer followed by the song promo. The film, which is being projected by the makers as the biggest action thriller of the year, is expected to open very big and with such a bang that a 40 crore first day is achievable.
The other film that is expected and predicted to cross or reach the forty crore first day target is none other than the 'Badshah' of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan's HAPPY NEW YEAR. The Farah Khan directed Diwali extravaganza, HAPPY NEW YEAR, is expected to set the box-office on fire and a cracker of a Diwali is certainly on the cards considering the response to the promo(s) of the film.
Certainly it will be interesting to see which film will cross the never-heard-before figure of forty crore, in a single day, BANG BANG or HAPPY NEW YEAR. Better if both do so!
